"I
am honored to have been given the privilege and responsibility of serving
Stafford
as a member of the Board of Supervisors.
I thank all of the voters who participated in today’s election,
regardless of your choice of candidate.
Citizen participation of all sorts is essential to a healthy
democracy. It is what makes
change possible and what gives us all hope for the future.
I
am proud of my campaign and the volunteers who helped make it happen.
We took up the daunting task of running against a well-financed,
8-year incumbent. The odds
were against us but citizens responded to our basic message about the need
to manage growth, control spending, and preserve our natural resources.
With your support, we can move forward with implementing change in
Griffis-Widewater and in Stafford
County
.
I
look forward to working together with my colleagues on the Board and with
the citizens of Griffis-Widewater. There
is much important work that needs to be done and I hope we can work
