Small businesses suffer under Aquia Towne Center redevelopment. 

Bella Cafe, forced to leave Aquia Towne Center after receiving a ten day notice, may very well be one of the first casualties of Stafford's new Traditional Neighborhood Development ordinance. A redevelopment based on the TND is being planned for the property. Currently, there are no protections for small businesses when redevelopment occurs, and the fate of remaining businesses at Aquia Towne Center remains unclear.

Friends and parishioners at Regester Chapel United Methodist Church put together a benefit concert for Bella Bagel Cafe owner Will Wobbe in February, about a month after the entrepreneur was forced to close his business in Aquia Towne Center.

Will Wobbe, who owned Bella Bagel in Aquia Towne Center, received an eviction notice from the company in December and was given about 10 days to close his doors.
